The Website of the Portal of Safety Reports makes extensive use of pop-ups. If pop-up blocking is enabled in your browser, you must deactivate it entirely or enter an exception on the Portal’s website. Here are instructions on how to handle pop-ups in Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Apple Safari:Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 7, 8 and 9To activate or deactivate the pop-up blocker:1. In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button and then click Pop-up Blocker.2. Do one of the following options:• • To deactivate Pop-up Blocker, click Disable pop-up blocker.• To activate the Pop-up Blocker, click Activate pop-up blocker.By default, Internet Explorer displays pop-ups that appear as a result of clicking on a link or button. The Blocker was emerging blocks pop-ups that appear automatically (without you clicking a link or button).If you want to allow a specific website to show automatic pop-ups, follow these steps:1. In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, click Pop-up Blocker, and then click Pop-up Blocker Settings.2. In the Address box of the website you want to allow, type the address (or Uniform Resource Locator, URL of the Web site from which you want to see the pop-ups, and then click Add.3. Repeat step 2 for each Web site to which you want to allow pop-ups. When finished, click Close.Mozilla Firefox 24.0 and 25.0The options for pop-up windows are located in the Content panel > Tools> Options. From there, you can do the following:1. Block pop-up windows: Clear this option to disable the pop-up blocker completely.2. Exceptions dialog: This is a list of sites where you want to allow pop-up windows to appear. The dialog has the following options:• • Allow: Click here to add a website to the list of exceptions• Delete site: Click here to remove a website from the list of exceptions• Delete all locations: Click here to remove all websites from the list of exceptionsGoogle Chrome 31.0The options for pop-up windows are located in the Content Settings panel of the Chrome menu> Settings> Show advanced options. By default, Google Chrome prevents pop-ups from appearing automatically.• To allow all popup windows :• 1. Click on the Chrome menu.2. Select Settings.3. Click Show advanced settings.4. Go to the “Privacy” section and click on Content Settings.5. Go to the “Pop-ups” and select Allow that all sites show pop-ups.6. Click Done.• To allow pop-ups of selected sites :• 1. Click on the Chrome menu.2. Select Settings3. Click Show advanced options.4. Go to the “Privacy” section and click on Content Settings.5. Go to the “Pop-ups” section and select Do not allow any site to show pop-up windows (recommended).6. Click on Manage exceptions.7. Using the exception popup panel add or remove the hostname or IP address.8. Select the Allow or Block actions from the drop-down menu for the site, domain or IP address.9.
